“Davidson, who lives in Pendleton, said he was raised to love the outdoors. His parents worked for the National Outdoor Leadership School, and he got involved early working with the seasonal range program in his hometown of Pinedale, Wyoming.

‘A big part of my childhood was being in wilderness,’ he said. ‘Not doing that is not really an option for me.'”
