Application process

Browse open positions and submit your application through our careers portal. Include your resume, cover letter, and any relevant certifications.

Interview & field assessment
Qualified candidates complete a phone or video interview. Instructor applicants also participate in a multi-day field assessment with current NOLS staff.

Welcome to the team
Accepted candidates receive onboarding materials and training schedules. New instructors complete a mentored first expedition before leading independently.
