Poetry from the Gila Wilderness
John from FSW1 shares a poem he wrote on his backpacking section.
Lying down,
Nestled in grass,
Hypnotized by stars,
A time that is ours.
A time for inspection,
Of deep introspection,
and mass retrospection.
Our thoughts are rewound and replayed,
at the end of our day,
Just before they are erased by sleep.
As we quietly lay,
Our minds drift away,
And we are free to go where they please.
Caught in the wind,
They twirl and ascend,
Through the trees,
On a breeze,
That shake stories from their leaves.
