Alumni Trips
Usually one week in length, Alumni Trips are designed for NOLS graduates and their friends and families. These trips allow busy grads to reconnect with the school and other alumni, enjoy an outdoor adventure, and introduce those you love to the NOLS experience.
Expect
What to Expect
Instruction on Alumni Trips is informal and relaxed. You might review and practice Leave No Trace skills, learn technical skills, or touch on other NOLS curriculum, all depending on interest. Trips are geared towards novices and only a few have pre-requisites, you will likely be in the company of both beginners and experienced travelers alike.
A unique aspect of Alumni Trips tends to be the wide age range on most trips. It is normal to have folks ranging from 20-70 on each of our trips and while this might seem intimidating, it is often praised as a highlight. Cross-generational learning can expose each person to new perspectives and help everyone expand their knowledge and understanding of other humans.

Private or Custom Alumni Trips
If you’re looking for private trip or an experience that we don’t offer, we are excited to help. We’ll work with you to build and adventure for your friends, family, or colleagues.
Past trips have sailed in Baja, hiked in Wyoming's Wind River Range, explored Utah's canyons, paddled Arctic rivers, and much more. Group sizes range from 4 to 14Â and ages 5Â to 85, we can be creative based on your group makeup and needs.
