Branch Beautification 2

The spring season here at NOLS Southwest has been quiet when it comes to students being around, but there is never a dull moment here in Tucson.  The branch team has been working hard to get the grounds ready for this season.  We have a fabulous newly refurbished quonset, thanks to last semester’s beta level ops assistant Mark Atkinson.

Also this past Wednesday, 7 of the 10 in town team members busted out a 4-hour session of gravel moving.  The rugged, muscle-popping team moved 33 tons of gravel around the branch.

In addition to branch beautification, we have been working on our compost pile, which was ravaged by a local family of Javelinas over the holidays.  James and Dave are working diligently to get it up and running again.
