“Wyoming law permits stream segments highlighted in red to contain five times more E.coli than was previously allowed. Teton County’s remaining public lands livestock grazing occurs within the areas circled in yellow.

Aaron Bannon, NOLS’ environmental stewardship and sustainability director, said there’s an expectation the water in Wyoming’s backcountry is clean.
