Levine Scholars Learn Leadership at NOLS
This summer the Levine Scholars Program of University of North Carolina Charlotte (UNC-C) traveled to NOLS Rocky Mountain for their summer orientation wilderness expedition. The Levine Scholars partnered with NOLS Professional Training to provide their incoming freshmen scholars a common leadership foundation and an opportunity to develop as a team.
During the three-week backpacking course, fifteen students and two program representatives, including the program’s associate director spent time learning and practicing leadership skills in the beautiful Absaroka Mountains of Wyoming.
After the course, a few students sat down to talk with UNC-C’s Campus Conversations to share their experiences and a short video they produced.
