Michael Cheek Named Major Gifts Officer

Michael Cheek has accepted a position as a major gifts officer in the NOLS alumni and development department. Michael started at NOLS as a field instructor in 1990 and has over 200 weeks in the field. In addition, he has been an admissions officer, a staffing coordinator and the Leave No Trace program coordinator.

“His different positions at the school give him a great working knowledge of the organization,” said Pip Coe, NOLS alumni and development director. “This will be a great asset in his new role.”

In his new position Michael will be a major player in NOLS’ International Base Camp Initiative. This campaign supports renovations and new construction, as NOLS creates a campus —a hub for the worldwide NOLS community. The campaign will be complete in December 2006.

Congrats, Michael!
