NOLS Alum Headed for Olympics
It’s official… NOLS grad Sarah Konrad will soon pack her bags for the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Italy. Konrad wrapped up an exciting series of competitions yesterday, staking her claim to a spot on the U.S. Olympic Biatholon Team.
A strong skier ranked fourth among U.S. women cross-country ski racers, Konrad’s fast tracks might also lead to a place in history. That’s because she’s a candidate for the U.S. Olympic cross-country ski team as well. If selected, she’d be the first U.S. athlete to compete on two different teams in one Olympiad.
Konrad’s been called “the fastest skater in the country,” and now it’s time to to test her skills in the world’s greatest games. So good luck, Sarah! NOLS will be watching and cheering as you ski your way to success in Italy!
