Powder Alert – Grab Your 42″ Snorkel!

Fitzjan2008Wyoming and Idaho’s Teton backcountry has gotten a whopping 42″ of mouth-watering powder in the last five days. That’s right, NOLS’ Teton Valley Branch is awash in puffy, face-splashing, white nirvana-from-the-sky.

It’s been a great snow year so far, with more on the way. That means it’s also a great year for our snowboarding, backcountry skiing, alumni telemarking and winter outdoor educator courses. Check out the recent photo by instructor John Fitzgerald.

Isn’t it time you grabbed your boards and cut some turns with NOLS? Better wear goggles.

Rich Brame

Rich Brame came to NOLS in the 80’s as a Fall Semester in the Rockies student and worked his first NOLS course at Wind Cave National Park in 1984. Since then, he’s worked varied NOLS trips and courses on five continents—with a few more on the way. Rich does some frontcountry shenanigans for NOLS, too. He’s headed up NOLS’ public policy, research, LNT, Yukon programs and most recently in the Alumni Relations Department.
