“Tonight marks night 198 for Kyle Nitzsche, out in his green-and-yellow four-person Eureka! tent.

The temps are expected to be in the 40s. This 14-year-old camper, who’s been sleeping al fresco every night since April 1 and has been anticipating reaching his 200-night goal by the weekend, has experienced far worse.

He also camped out during his two-week National Outdoor Leadership School trip this summer in the Adirondacks, where he hiked 44 miles and up 17,000 vertical feet over 12 days.”
